Hello. My name is Gregory Brown . After graduating high school I went to the University of Colorado at Boulder to pursue a degree in Film Studies. In 2009 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and returned to my hometown of Austin to begin work in the film industry. My career goal is to be a feature film director hopefully starting off directing my two original screenplays.
After a few months of returning to Austin I got my first job in the film industry as Set Production Assistant on a feature length film. From there I was able to continue working as a Set PA and Key Set PA on feature length films, scripted TV series, and commercials . In addition to PA work, I have gotten opportunities to work as 2nd Assistant Director and 2nd 2nd Assistant Director on non-union feature length films and web series. I continue to work primarily as Set Production Assistant to gain days to eventually join the Director's Guild of America.
In 2015 I wrote and directed my first professional short film titled Shallow Creek. This is the first step into my career goal of being a film Director. As of March 2016 Shallow Creek has been accepted into numerous film festivals. In April 2016 I wrote/directed my second short film The Price of Admission which is currently available for viewing. I’m currently seeking the proper time and funding to make my third short film called A Deception From Within.
